Check these in order. First, that your Mac or PC did not go to sleep — the extension cannot run if the machine is asleep. Second, that system volume was up and audio output was not routed to a Bluetooth device that had powered down. Third, that the panel showed the green "I can see this run" line before you left; an amber warning means it could not detect the session.
This usually means the site's interface changed. Updates ship automatically through Chrome, so check that you are on the latest version. If it persists, email me with a screenshot of the panel — the small diagnostic line at the bottom tells me exactly what it is and isn't detecting.
Click the leftmost button in the panel to cycle through 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours. When set, the alarm fires after that long no matter what else happens. It is off by default.
Click the icon in the panel. Moon is sleep mode with the bell alarm, monitor is work mode with the launch sound.
